Ronald D. Ryan was a former   Western Electric   tool and die maker   turned corporate pilot who came to   Wichita, Kansas   in 1968 to work for entrepreneur   Jack P. DeBoer . In 1971–1972, DeBoer had financial troubles, leading him to spin off his corporate aviation department (as DeBoer Aviation) to his wife with Ryan as a minority shareholder, [ 4 ] incorporated 6 July 1973, [ 5 ]   initially offering charters with a single   Learjet 24B . [ 6 ]   Continued DeBoer liquidity needs resulted in real estate developer George Ablah taking part of the DeBoer stake.  It's a well known fact that kids who are picked on because of their names often have issues later in life. We're still not certain that Ryan is really his name.  There have been plenty of people generally thought to have been named that who were, in fact, named something else. ( 1 )( 2 ) And, while 58 is certainly old to have been named Ryan, he was born after the show Peyton Place started to air staring Charles Patrick Ryan O'Neal.
